Monsoon Nectar skin care is a non toxic, 100% natural, cruelty free skin care line created for personal health and hygiene. Each product is multi purpose and can be used in conjunction with another product in the line for a simple and affordable, preventative and repairing system of taking care of your skin, body, and hair. The essential oils and botanicals come from all over the world and the NECTARS are hand made in small batch formulas by our manufacturer in the Southwest United States. We use minimal, low impact packaging in recyclable containers and our shipping materials are recycled as well.
Our skin care collection is formulated for all skin types, ethnicities, and skin conditions. Soothing and healing to the side effects of Accutane, Acnotin, Roaccutane and other drugs that are extremely drying to the lips and skin. All of the products are vegan, except the Green Tea Lip & Eye Balm and Body Balm, which contain beeswax.
Keep products away from direct sunlight and in a cool dry place. If you are pregnant, always check with your doctor about using personal hygiene products on your skin and your children's skin. Caution should be used with citrus essential oils before going out in the sun. Common sense caution should be used to avoid contact with the eyes and mucus membranes as well as with an allergic reaction; discontinue use.
Neutral Beauty Bar: Use all over the body, as a moisturizing mask on the face, a rich lather for shaving, and as a shampoo. The Beauty Bar will last longer if used with an exfoliating facial brush and kept as dry as possible on a drying pad.
Hydrosol: the steam distillate of an essential oil. A diluted form of the therapeutic properties of an essential oil used as skin toners, room fresheners, deodorants, and body aroma. Very special and delicate, they have a shelf life of 6-12 months when kept cool and out of direct sunlight. Mist the skin throughout the day, particularly after cleansing and before moisturizing. Morocco Soothing Hydrosol is regenerative and calming to the skin and slightly warming. India Stimulating Hydrosol is refreshing and revs up cellular metabolism. Benefits: anti-wrinkle, anti aging, they are firming, tightening the pores, and prepare the skin for other products.
Green Tea Galangal Exfoliating Mask (GTGEM): DO NOT MIX WITH WATER! Green Tea extract is oil soluble. Mix with either one of the cleansers. Green-ish brown and a little messy, but worth it. GTGEM is best used in the shower or bath for easy clean up. Benefits: clarity, brightness, even skin tone, healing, hydrating.
Mix with Neutral Beauty Bar - softening, brightening, cleansing. In a small bowl scrape a few shavings of the Beauty Bar with a spatula, wet an application brush with warm water and whip into a creamy lather. Add 1 mini scoop of GTGEM and whip into Beauty Bar lather. Use application brush to smooth mask over face neck and chest. Add a little water with the brush if necessary, but careful not to use too much water. Mask for 5 minutes or more. Rinse.
Mix with Madagascar Nourishing Cleanser - drawing, firming, nourishing. More gentle than a clay mask. Add 1 pump Madagascar in a bowl wet an application brush with warm water and whip into a foamy lather. Add 1 mini scoop GTGEM. Mix until consistency is smooth. Use application brush to smooth mask over face neck and chest. Add a little water with the brush if necessary, but careful not to use too much water. Mask for 5 minutes or more. Rinse.
High Desert Defense Antioxidant Moisturizer: Use instead of lotion, just after bathing. Apply all over your body and then use the residual amount on your hands for your face for a light application in the daytime. Apply more liberally at night. Conditions hair and finishes coarse or curly hair when wet or dry. Can be used in an oil bath. Can be used to shave. We use a treatment pump instead of a spray bottle to avoid wasting the NECTAR and risking a dangerous micro mist of oil from covering the floor.
There are 6 different aromas to choose of the Antioxidant Moisturizer so that you can use them interchangeably to maintain their efficacy. Essential oils should always be used with a pause after a while, so instead of not moisturizing you can use a different High Desert Defense Moisturizer in the interim. This concept is likened to the herbs goldenseal and echinacea that should only be used briefly so that your immunity does not build up a resistance to their therapeutic effects.
The quickest way for essential oils to penetrate and affect the limbic system in the brain and the body is through inhalation of the aroma and through the soles of the feet (which have more pores per square inch than the rest of the skin).
Green Tea Lip & Eye Balm: has a naturally derived active sunscreen with a SPF 15. It is recommended that you use a sunscreen and that you should look for a natural, mineral sunscreen that is a physical sun block (i.e. zinc oxide, titanium dioxide) as opposed to a chemical sunscreen.
Green Tea Body Balm: can be used anytime all over the body, but is especially good as an intensive night time reparative treatment for the face, neck and chest, dry cuticles, rough heels and elbows. Particularly healing to old or new healing scars.
Fresca Mineral Bath Booster: is applied to wet skin in the bath or shower. Highly concentrated, apply to the lower leg first to test sensitivity and decide if you want to use it as a scrub or not. Fresca will dissolve almost instantly on the skin and should be rubbed all over immediately and evenly. You can always use another scoop for the upper body if needed. For neck and shoulder pain apply directly to sore area. Sit back into the bath to soak or stand clear of the shower until you are ready to rinse.
